For another summer, Benidorm has set up an adapted bathing area on Poniente beach for people with reduced mobility. Located next to the Accessible Beaches point at Parque de Elche, it includes seating in the water, an access walkway and handrails that make entering the sea safer. The area, shaded with a canopy, has 22 seats and will remain in service until mid-October.
This space adds to the three accessible beach points the city maintains at Parque de Elche, near Avenida Mont Benidorm and on Calle Murcia in Levante beach. Two of them, Levante and Parque de Elche, operate year-round, offering adapted bathrooms and specialised assistance during peak season. In addition, this summer restrooms have been installed near the Ti Ximo and Almadraba coves, available from July until the end of the season.
From Apartamentos Playa Pequeña, on Plaza de la Señoría and a short walk from the Old Town, we are glad to see these services continue to grow, allowing more people to enjoy the sea comfortably and independently.
