Benidorm City Council has met with the Associació de Penyes Verge del Sofratge to explain the security and coexistence measures that will apply during the 2026 Festes Majors Patronals, scheduled from 6 to 11 November. The meeting also covered arrangements for the Dia de les Penyes, set for Saturday 24 October at the Julio Iglesias Auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera, where access and capacity will be controlled during the playback contests.
Among the rules is a restriction on recreational fireworks during certain hours, aimed at protecting residents' rest, along with a requirement for peña venues to stop music at four in the morning and close completely by six, which also helps municipal cleaning crews. The Council says the goal is to balance festive spirit with the right to rest of those who keep working during the celebrations.
For guests staying at Apartamentos Playa Pequeña, next to Plaza de la Señoría and close to the Mirador de Benidorm, these festivities offer a great chance to explore the Old Town and experience the local festive atmosphere, knowing that measures are in place to keep nighttime disruption in check.
