On Thursday, November 12, the streets of Rincón de Loix will once again transform into the setting for the Fancy Dress Party, a celebration that has spent over three decades attracting tourists from across Europe, especially British visitors, though each year more guests from other countries and local residents join in. Organisers estimate attendance could reach around 30,000 people.
The day will begin in early afternoon, with a parade featuring around twenty floats and performance groups as the central highlight, scheduled for mid-afternoon. Gerona, Lepanto and Mallorca streets will host most of the festivities, with traffic closures and extra security and medical services in place to ensure everything runs smoothly, as in previous editions.
Many visitors take the opportunity to extend their stay in the city before or after the party, combining the Fancy with other plans in Benidorm. From our apartments, located in Plaza de la Señoría, next to the Mirador de Benidorm, both Rincón de Loix and the rest of the city are easily accessible for anyone wanting to join this unique celebration.
